When Chef Willu Diaz moved to Hawaii, he knew right away that he wanted to mark his ‘culinary’ foot print here on the island of Oahu. Living the culture and understanding the diverse people that live here, Chef Diaz quickly learned that Hawaii was the perfect place to pursue his desire to become a chef.
Having graduated from the University of Hawaii, he has worked with many notable island chefs such as Alan Wong, Roy Yamaguchi, Chai Chaowasaree, DK Karoda and many more.
Chef Diaz worked as an Executive Chef at Ocean House, Chef de Cuisine @ Il Lupino and a Sous Chef at Aria now known as Apartment 3.
Today, ‘A Place To Eat’ nestled near the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, is his home kitchen and he would like to showcase his culinary versatility and share his unique take on island recipes. Chef Diaz truly believes in only using the freshest ingredients and organic local products to prepare delicious, healthy meals at an affordable price.
